Oopsey Daisy

I'm featuring "Oopsey Daisy" today. She describes herself as "happy mommy, looking for spicy ideas to beautify, multipurpose, simplify, and refunction." She has lots of cute ideas, including:

(when I saw this I had to put it because I was just talking to my friend the other day about how much we LOVE these blankets, but don't know how to make them)
She also has some great recipes, like Snickerdoodle Muffins ,

You should check out her blog.

Prepared NOT scared!

I am featuring this cool new blog that my Mom found. It's called "Prepared NOT scared." It's main theme is about food storage and preparedness. It has food storage meals and menu plans, food storage calculators, and lots of preparedness and storage ideas; but it is so much more than that. It has family home evening ideas, cool chore charts, yummy recipes, gardening, holiday games and ideas, TONS of ideas for kids. You should really check it out!

Tiepedia

Matt from Tiepedia is a great source to go to for Father's Day. You can order ties from the site (in all sorts of varieties), and if 'real' ties aren't your Dad's/Husband's/Brother's (whomever) thing, why don't you copy Matt's idea and make them a 'TIE CAKE' instead...here are some examples:

Ginormous Chalkboard

Sorry, I've been busy and missed Tuesday, but still wanted to feature a cool blog, and the feature this week is Joy's Hope. She did this post awhile ago and I loved it. The second I have a enough wall space somewhere, I want to make a 'ginormous chalkboard.' I like how she has the trim around it and the pictures hung up with the clothes pins. so cute! Anyway, here is her blog button:

Mother's Day Roundup

So I am going to try a link party. With Mother's Day coming up, I would LOVE to see all the good ideas for presents out there. It's also Tuesday, so I am going to feature a blog. I think this craft would be an awesome Mother's Day (or Grandmother) present.

Mod Podged Hand Trees from At Second Street

Click HERE to see the tutorial, or click on the button to go directly to the website

These two things are things I am doing for the kids in my primary class at church:

Mother's Day Questionnaire, which I am SO excited to see how the kids answer the questions, found HERE

Mother's Day Hand print and Poem:
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.

But every day I'm growing -
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away.

So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.

(to look something like this, this is actually my husband's from a long time ago that he gave to his mom)
Now for the link party,
1. Link up your Mother's Day crafts, recipes, presents, whatever you have Mother's Day
2. Make sure you link to your actual post and NOT your blog's home page
3. Here's my button if you want to link back to the party from your blog post.

Thanks. I'm excited to see what you all have!

Burlap Dollar Store Wall Grouping

It's Tuesday again and I am keeping with my new tradition of featuring something I saw during the week that I think is awesome. These wall hangings cost $6 to make and Jen from Tatertots and Jello made them. They are four 3.5 x 3.5 frames from the dollar store that she covered in burlap, used old music scrapbook paper for the inside, and printed off the first initial of each of her children's names to frame. Don't forget the ribbon she added to hang them. Very cute, I love the idea and so easy and cheap to make. See the full tutorial HERE.

p.s. If you have an awesome craft, recipe, mom tip, ect. you would like featured on my blog, let me know. Thanks.

Storage Boxes

I saw these storage boxes on Make it and Love it, (which is AWESOME), and I thought they were the coolest things. They were one of those things that when I saw them, I thought "Why didn't I think of that?" They look so easy and inexpensive to make. They are made by hot gluing cardboard box pieces together, then mod podging fabric on the front. I literally walked around my apartment looking for something or somewhere to put these; hopefully I'll have a little more room to work with in a house someday.

makeitandloveit

p.s. I decided that every Tuesday I will be featuring an awesome craft, recipe or mom tip that I find in other blogs because I think that good ideas need to be shared. If you have an awesome craft, recipe, tip or something along those lines that you would like featured, let me know!
